It took me some time to figure out that the strange behaviour of the shadow makes sense if you turn the photo upside down
In the perspective shown here, the owner of the shadow is standing below the bottom oft the photo and the shadow looks sort of cut off due to a step in the path. Even though I know how it works now, the photo is still a bit confusing. And I like that, really great piece of art
